Simon Rahmoun
As lead composer and keyboard player for the Layali El Sharq Band, Simon has been a popular musician within the Canadian Arabic music industry for over 25 years. His background spans playing in orchestras in the Middle East to Arabic night clubs, weddings and major events across Canada. Simon is a full time musician with a specialty in keyboard. He also has a degree in Sound Engineering from Trebas Institute and composes and records his own music.
Gabi Kourieh
Gabi Kourieh started playing music (the guitar) at a young age in Lebanon, and he is one of the original members of Layali EL Sharq Band when it was formed in 1987. Gabi worked in many night clubs across Canada and United States. And also worked with famous singers from Lebanon.
Joe Srouji
Joe Srouji was fortunate enough to have come from a family of musicians, he was given a great opportunity to learn the traditional styles of Middle Eastern percussion . Joe started professionally playing the tabla in 1996. He has been a member of Layali El Sharq Band as a percussion player since 2004. In 2009 he became the sole Tabla player for Layali El Sharq.
Ashraf Badr
Ashraf Badr has been a singer for Layali El Sharq Band since 2008. He has a wide range of different styles from Dabkah to Tradtional Egyptian Shaabi . Ashraf has given great performances all across the United States.
Bashar Srouji
Bashar Srouji became a member of Layali El Sharq band in 2010 as percussion player.
